`This is an accessibly written and compellingly argued book, not shy of its clear polemical and political intentions. It is an ambitious project, extensively researched and wide-ranging in its coverage.
This is one of few text that synthesizes U. S. cultural policy history in a way that is easily accessible for students. My only wish is that the authors will do a second edition and add cases to support critical aspects of cultural policy.
