A useful book with helpful reflection sections for students. Not all chapters were relevant for our course but will recommend for additional background reading.
Useful text for 3rd year undergraduate students
I could not fit it into the syllabus but it is a very good book. A good read and insightful. I would consider using it in the future.
There are a couple of great chapters in this text but I could not find time in the syllabus to add the complete text. However, students have the information and I did include a few of the chapters information in my lecture. They really enjoyed the information put forth in the the "Cold-blooded Lies" chapter. Although I did not add it as a required text, I am considering using in my social problems class because it covers deviance, gender, media, etc.
This book is well structured and well written with really useful information presented in an easy to follow manner. The issues for reflection at the end of each chapter help to reinforce understanding. A really sound source of information for many different schools.

A much needed text bringing together work on media, gender violence and criminological thinking. Really useful for both undergraduate and postgraduate study.
