Position Title: Associate Managing Editor

► COULD YOU BE OUR NEW ASSOCIATE MANAGING EDITOR?
A biomedical, engineering or physical sciences background to at least BSc level.
Ideally, journals publishing experience in an editorial role.
An interest in science and the communication of it.
Excellent organisation skills and an ability to prioritise effectively.
Excellent relationship management and communication skills and confidence in working with internal and external stakeholders, including senior academics.
A proactive approach, good commercial awareness and a strong understanding of journals publishing business and processes.
A high level of motivation, with the capacity to work independently and as part of a close-knit team.
► YOUR NEW ROLE
Working closely with internal Managing Editors, external Editors, Marketing and other stakeholders on the development of the Special Collections programme for the gold OA titles.
Building scientific knowledge of allocated journals and research areas.
Driving journal growth via increased high quality submissions.
