Dr. Julie Hicks Patrick is a Professor of Psychology at West Virginia University. Her research and teaching address families at mid- and late-life, with a focus on cognitive aging, family caregiving, and healthy aging. Recent research projects have included health promotion and physical activity interventions, the use of virtual reality to improve cognitive performance, and best practices to infuse gerontology training into thee MSTEM curricula. She has been the recipient of awards from the American Psychological Association and is a Fellow of the Gerontological Society of America.
