We believe that a future without librarians is no future. Our team of librarians across the world play an instrumental part in helping us to better understand the role of the librarian in the scholarly communication ecosystem and how Sage can help meet their needs. We are pleased to offer the following initiatives to our librarian community:
London, SAGE has today announced that it has won the International Academic and Professional Publisher Award at the London Book Fair International Excellence Awards, in association with The Publishers Associations. The awards were presented on Tuesday, on the first day of the London Book Fair (LBF), at the London Olympia.
Los Angeles, CA - SAGE, the global independent scholarly and professional publisher, announced today the acquisition of The Goodwin Group International, LLC, publisher of MD Conference Express®, the first publication to subject medical conference highlights to the rigorous test of peer review.
The acquisition will strengthen SAGE’s ability to disseminate peer-reviewed content in medical disciplines and will complement SAGE’s current portfolio of more than 150 medical journals published on behalf of more than 100 medical societies.
Award is a double-win for Adam Matthew and the Newberry Library, Chicago

Los Angeles, CA. Research has revealed that gender biases limit the opportunities for women within science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) disciplines. But just how prevalent are these biases and how are they perceived differently by men and women? A new study out today in Psychology of Women Quarterly examined a well-known space for candid sharing of thoughts – the comments sections of online articles – and found that men are much less likely to agree with scientific evidence of gender bias in STEM than women.
Washington, DC. From the rise of the militant group ISIL (Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant), and the outbreak of Ebola that caused international alarm, to the Affordable Care Act’s birth control mandate, 2014 was full of newsworthy events.
