This journal is financially supported by Tsinghua University and therefore does not charge an article processing charge for open access publication. This journal flipped to open access on 1 January 2021.

The International Journal of Chinese Education (IJCE) aims to improve education research and development in ways relevant to China and Chinese education.

Articles can address all China-relevant education research, policy and practice, including comparative and multi-disciplinary studies.

IJCE covers all formal and less formal areas and levels of education, with a focus on higher education.
