Covers a wide range of issues associated with supporting children in the early years, a good introductory text for undergraduates studying the early years.
A recommended read to supplement learning at level 3. This book has so much information that can be used within many of the units being taught. The use of case studies helps to ensure understanding has taken place. I would recommend this book for all child care students.

This is a good book which gives a good overview of how young children learn by providing good discussions of some theories of learning and how they link with practice.
This is a good book which gives a good overview of how young children learn by providing good discussions of some theories of learning and how they link with practice. There are also discussions on supporting children in their learning, multi-agency working, the various approaches to play as well as other issues in early childhood education.
Great points for discussion and case studies included throughout this text book which is very useful for tutors/lecturers. I found chapter 15 very informative for the learners to assist their understanding of multi-agency working.
