`This is a gem of a book from two of the outstanding management researchers of their generation. Easy to read and entertaining, yet rigorous and comprehensive in its approach, this book will be adopted as an essential aid for students undertaking final year projects, masters dissertations, and as a primer for doctoral researchers' - Professor Graham Hooley, Aston University
It is a good additional material given its focus on business research.
An excellent text. This is a must read for students undertaking research methods modules across the full range of business management programmes, Lee & Lings provide an interactive text which brings research methods to life, covering the key aspects methodology and methods.
A good text that provides students with the structure and knowledge to deliver a successful business research project.
The textbook is well written with excellent discussions on the scientific and the interpretive approaches to conducting research. Business students often stumble when asked about their methodological framework. This text should definitely help!
I am in total agreement with the precis on the back cover, 'this is not just another book about research.' Lee & Lings have not just rehashed old material, they have produced an up to date, pragmatic and hands-on research manual. It contains an excellent mix of theory and practice and in doing so meets the needs of taught and research students.
Ideal for both undergraduate and postgraduate students. It provides an overview of the research methods. Am sure this text book will find an essential place on every desk, study room of students, lectures and all those students who wish to delve deeper into Business research methods.
The distributor in Korea could not get this book. Therefore, I had to adopt another text.
Still reviewing texts
A useful guide to help students through the fog of business research.
Very impressed, I have also recommended this to other lecturers
Incorporated at MBA (Research Methods) module
Students really disliked the style of writing in this text. Chapters do not stand alone very well. Both too much information and detail in some parts and not enough in other areas.
The book is recommended for our students of business research methods course.
