For students looking to focus in on the management aspects of youth work, particular those who are new to a managerial role, this book provides a useful and thought provoking source of information. In particular, asking the reader to reflect on their personal managerial practices helps students to relate the topics to their own workplace role rather than being just purely theoretical. Having said that it would have been beneficial to see more links made between youth work management and some of the more mainstream managerial theories and concepts.
