This book provides the reader with clear pointers for how to conduct organizational research appropriately, through planning and making informed and systematic research decisions, to understanding the ethical implications of applied organizational research, to implementing, reporting and presenting the findings to the highest possible standards. A perfect reference that guides the student through the whole research process, taking into account important topics:
- researcher-practitioner gap
- project management (securing access to the organization, procrastination...)
- a selection of questionnaires and scales to start off
- identification of appropriate methods for sampling and statistical analysis.

It is well written and incorporates a broad range of topics in a very concise manner (~200 pages / octavo size).

Unfortunately, a few methods and questionnaires are somewhat outdated - a new edition (adding for example experience sampling methods or recently developed scales) would be very helpful.

An excellent book for students, especially for those who have no previous research experience. The authors review a wide range of methods, including qualitative ones. Moreover, the book also includes chapters that deal with more general research-related issues, such as starting off the research process. Finally, it also provides a very comprehensive review of different statistical tests. Overall, a great guide for students and lecturers who teach organisational research methods.
