SAGE begins publishing ILR Review

December 2, 2014

Official publication of Cornell University ILR School

Los Angeles, CA - SAGE announces today that it has begun publishing ILR Review, official publication of the Cornell University ILR School, the leading academic institution focused on the world of work. In conjunction with this announcement, SAGE and the Cornel University ILR School have made the July and December issues of ILR Review free and open to the public through December 31, 2014.

For 67 years, ILR Review has published top, peer-reviewed theoretical and empirical research on work and employment relations. The journal features international and interdisciplinary research that advances new theory, presents novel empirical work, and informs organizational and public policy.

“SAGE is at the forefront of publishing the best social science research concerning the critical social and economic issues in the world today,” stated Rosemary Batt, Co-Editor of the ILR Review and Alice Cook Professor at Cornell’s ILR School.

“We look forward to working with SAGE to broaden our readership and link up with SAGE’s impressive array of social science and management journals,” said Lawrence M. Kahn, Co-Editor of the ILR Review and Braunstein Family Professor of Economics in Cornell’s ILR School.

The Review’s goal is to advance knowledge of the changing nature of work and employment relations, and it focuses on critical issues for organizations and working people such as globalization, unemployment, wage setting, gender and race pay inequality, and the organization of work and human resource management. A multidisciplinary publication, the journal includes research from all social science perspectives and embraces a wide range of methodologies.

SAGE began publishing the Review with the July 2014 issue. In 2015, the journal will be published five times per year.

“SAGE welcomes the opportunity to publish a journal that has improved work and employment relations for 67 years,” commented Bob Howard, Vice President, US Journals. “We are confident that as its new publisher, we will be able to assist Drs. Batt, Kahn, and the Cornell ILR School in expanding its readership to an even broader community of labor and employment scholars.”
