It discusses how a wide range of texts, including comics, graphic novels, political cartoons and films, can be used to develop children's thinking skills. Each chapter is supplemented with a very useful bibliography that will point the interested reader towards further reading, and there is wealth of tips and techniques for introducing non-traditional texts into the classroom.
