fabulous book which I have recommended to many students undertaking Early Years Initial Teacher Training who want to brush up on knowldge of the under three's
Some very useful chapters on aspects of practice with the youngest children which is up to date and clearly explained.
A thorough and up to date text which really highlights the crucial issues trainees and practitioners should be aware of - essentially the very unique years of growth and development from birth to three. The ideas for practice and points of reflection ensure that readers engage with the topics. I find this useful to teach from - and can recommend to those on the FDA Early Years as well as postgraduates on the EYTS.
This is an important text, contributing relevant and evolving thinking around how the youngest children are supported in day care. Clearly written and completely in tune with the current discourse around 'care'.
Helpful book for the age group and well written for a range of readers.
Great book looking at supporting childrens independance. The chapter about environment for children gives excellent insights. Great book for the research project CCE.
I would recommend this book to all practitioners working in the early years.
Great for practitioners working with 0-3 yrs
This text is highly recommended due to the breadth and depth of knowledge of babies and children's needs. It is very readable and clearly enlightening, extending the reader's understandings through well-selected exemplification and carefully constructed guidance to reflective activity.
