A very useful and informative book for students on Early Years Education and Care, and those on the EYITT programme. The second edition of this book reorganises as well as updates the content. The revised format is helpful and should enable students to access the material more easily. There are several new chapters, which broaden the scope and helps to bring this edition bang up to date. The passion of the authors pervades the entire book; the separate chapter on 'Permission to love them' is a very welcome addition to the book.
How the authors have intertwined theory into practice is excellent. This is an easy to follow text that considers many of today’s aspects of early years’ practice. The ‘questions for reflection’ are useful for both academics and students.
This text is very accessible for new undergraduates. It shines the light on the importance of very young children and babies, who are often 'forgotten' in other texts
A really useful, readable book. Students have responded well adn are using this text in their assignmetns
An excellent resource for those studying towards units 75/76. It is current and up to date, text is easy to understand and relevant to practice.
An excellent resource for those studying towards unit 35. It is current and up to date, text is easy to understand and relevant to practice.
I would recomend this book to learners on a level 3 program who are doing the optional units 075 and 076.
An excellent book which helps to extend understanding of working with babies and toddlers. This is key in the current policy landscape as it refocuses this key age range.
Particularly useful resource for learners undertaking optional units 075 and 075 - Working with 0-3 years old.
